Chinese CCP leaders kept promoting the policy of 'Biding it's time ' to not spoil their rise . They kept low profile. They never stopped hating west . They used the greed among capitalists against the west .They only starting openly their wolf warrior diplomacy after Xi Jin Ping consolidated power and once they are confident that they are sufficiently strong to take on the West.

In the last 25 years since China joined WTO, there are no improvement in  democracy , human rights,  freedom of religion , freedom of speech or rights of minorities in China . Yet the west blindly kept investing there.

Compare that with India . We are no where near as China in military power and economy but we are being fed anti western narrative for a long time . If someone thinks the western countries didn't notice this they should be dreaming
