In a shocking incident, Varun Suresh, an Indian-origin man, has been charged with murder for brutally stabbing 71-year-old registered sex offender David Brimmer to death in Fremont, California. According to Fremont Police, they received a 911 call on September 18 at approximately 11:57 AM, regarding a violent altercation between two individuals at a residence. Police, who arrested Suresh at the scene and recovered a knife in his possession, labeled the incident as a targeted attack.

Brimmer, a convicted child sex offender, died from multiple stab wounds despite receiving emergency medical attention, The Independent reported. "Further investigation revealed that 29-year-old Suresh specifically targeted the victim because of the victim’s age and previous offenses," Fremont Police said in a media statement.

 

Court documents released on Monday state that Suresh confessed to police he had long harbored a desire to kill a sex offender, arguing that 'they hurt children' and 'deserve to die' as justification. "It is not your duty to decide whether Heaven will accept them, it’s your duty to send them to the gates," he allegedly said as per The Independent.
