From the news read back in the day,  I recall he had a violent history of multiple killings and assassination attempts. I recall reading long back as to how he survived one attempt when his intestines were ripped open by attackers and he came to hospital that way.  

Kapatralla  belongs to "Boya" caste. His caste doesn't have much say in TDP party. Baboru is a use and throw man. So he simply used Kapatralla and threw him away.
