I asked for details missing in post.  Looks like you have processing problem I asked what is median fresher salary ? What are odds fresher getting $170k too. Claiming fresher gets $170k and savings  of $500k compared to average or above average  person on investments tells me your real grasp on things. 30 to 40% savings with what returns make 500k?  Would like to hear from you . 

many medical go fund publish detail medical records and ask money.  People put their dead parents detail information and ask money and how they will be  spent
 

I give money when full information is provided because there are many needful people needing real help.    The gofundme shared doesn’t have any information about their current wealth or back in India aiming for stars is greedy. 

When you boast gains it is generally shared in investment community.  There are many who share and backup their claim. I trust them. Looks like you don’t have anything to share to backup your claims apart from talking and badmouthing others with out understanding full details.

He may have died for any reason (health/suicide etc.). But with all the H1B hoopla going on, I think they are trying to blame it on job loss etc.  H1B ani anni saarlu raayalsina avasaram ledu - other than to gather sympathy from other who are/were in the same boat.

Agree. I see nothing wrong in asking for help as well. There should be a limit though. 

Lets say they were  in a billionaire community, does it make sense for them to ask for a Billion dollars?

Just because they are in a circle of software engineers, it doesnt make sense to ask 500k. They will have to take a hit and work their way out of it.

People are emotional and donate without thinking. Its very wrong to dupe these people.

That same 500k donation can help save lives of 100 families. This is why my donations usually go to Africa where there is desperate need. I ignore these gofundmes.

Its like getting best bang for your buck. Your donations would serve the most when they go to the right place.
