I knew Zoho as only CRM system and have been following Sridharan Vembu , but more in the context how he uplifted IT in 3rd/4th tier indian cities , not so much in the context of their products..

Butsince thta minister made the announcement, i started looking into their products and organization, and they are fully private owned company and there profit margin is not high as compared to their high revenue. They are following the model of early Amazon where they are investing profits into innovation and new products.

while like others said here don't know how long the momentum lasts, it has to start somewhere by someone though. And all companies in their initial days will appear meak, feabile, flashy..we need to give it sometime thouh..mana janalaki patience baaga takkuva, product launch avvadame asalu addiripovale ani expect chestaru..too high expectations for indians and also our nation is too critique .. with that mindset its hard for people to startup something..we need to encourage failfast culture, acceptance of failures..

anyways whether zoho is the one or not, its good seeing that at least we have someothing as an alternative for office suites that is made in india..

adhi jaragadu anna..

manollu so addicted to whatsapp..even if it's down for 15 minutes, hatyalu/maana bhangalu jarigi pothayi..

first shifting to arattai - there's a learning curve involved..Youth may embrace it but musali muthaka "mallee inkoti nerchukovala..chasthe kudaradu" antaar..

okavela shift ayyare anuko..kharma kaali aaa arattai due to load or whatever goes down for some time - anthe inka...desam motham gaggolu pettesi back to WA.

So yes, may be there'll be some shift from WA to Arattai but expecting it to replace WA completely is far fetched ani na yokka thokkalo idhi.

Zoho relies the least in foreign tech out of any indian company I mean that's their usp pretty much now,i think they don't use foreign software except for firmware for integrating hardware as most of their hardware is from foreign companies ,but their products are nothing special just simpler versions of already available software, only advantage is you get everything with a much cheaper subscription compared to foreign companie ,it's uselful for small businesses especially.

you are right..they aren't coming up with new ideas , but just new products on replicating existing platforms anthe. Having home grown tech is their USP. Also they have their own data centers, they aren't relying on these major public clouds like AWS/Azure/GCP..

They are only useful for businesses looking to cut costs and get an all in one package.

normal people don't use zoho for personal usage.

Yeah they don't use foreign services for cloud ,the only foreign software they probably use is firmware, probably lincensed by cisco or dell or chinese companies like huawei to integrate  hardware because there are no indian companies producing hardware.
