You might need 3-4 years work experience in India before masters with amazing tech stack and dsa skills to get into a company that will sponsor h1-b. But yeah h1-b mestri category people who can't even write a single line of code will be filtered out. Quote

Big everything (Tech, Banks, Retail, Auto, Pharma, Insurance, Healthcare etc.) are addicted to cheap labour. It's what gives their C suite executives easier bonuses, as they showcase this as cost reduction. This is their Opium. All these Mesthris big and small exist for that reason. Indians will be kept in that Green card queue for as long as possible, because that carrot stick approach is what makes them accept the Mesthri pay rates. Kadana (Baboru style lo), British vallu Indian labour from Andhra, TN ni Burma, West Indies, South Africa pattukuni vellaru. Ippudu, adhe labour valle beedis vesukuni USA lo untaru. Top 20% exception. But bottom 80% majority. Quote

It's a win win situation as these people cant get a job in india with zero skills anyway or why would they even migrate to u.s via consultancies and do risky things. If the companies want to keep status quo then I see no reason why they would agree to 100k h1b fee ,they will negotiate with trump for some conditions. Quote

This also a negotiation tactic to pressure Modi Tatah to open up Indian market from GMO crops and US dairy. Event then, it exempts those that are in the US already. Big tech can push further offshoring by opening their back end offices in India. Quote
