Alternatively, 

Buy gift cards at grocery stores and give to cashier with requests to give it to next customer who comes with a food stamp. That will help them get few more days with the balance on their card .

We have an initiative at office where we all pool money and company matches. They talk to local grocery and get them at discount. We help unload the groceries to the local food bank.

I did in India too and even now support a child with low income for education.

Now US is facing extraordinary situation when millions will go hungry especially children if these food stamps are not given. We should contribute whatever possible since this country gave us so much.

Usually Maa pamily aada ladies do this stuff ever holiday season. Manam kotha ga cheppanavasaram le atu side Dems already vaalla groups lo active ayyaru anna. I think they are doing some stuff already within their org. Maa joint acc nunde pothai funds.

Yes. Situation is extremely bad and many old age people are living in their cars as they cannot afford rent and food with their social security money.
