I know about amul and dr.varghese kurian..and white revolution. They want gujarat gccmf (gujarat milk federation) take over urban market share of kmf karnataka milk federation . Doesn’t it depend on the leadership at the top? Amul has always tried to spread across India and marketed themselves as such.. they are a national brand and everyone knows Amul even though many didn’t use their products.. when two cooperatives fight out, like any two businesses, one with more money will win.. Amul products are in US also.. we are getting Amul milk here in Dallas and the quality is very good.. I didn’t see Nandini or Vijaya dairy or even Heritage anywhere in other places in India or in US to be fair, last month i saw Nandini milk cake (doodh peda) at a Kannada event in Dallas.. I paid good money to get a box and it tasted nowhere close to what it used to be earlier.. but I still hope they market it 1 Quote

That’s how multinationals killed local brands and shops. can you imagine ppl in city prefer to get Chicken from pre packed in super markets than fresh in a chicken shop. I have seen this trend in a lot of families. Quote
