DV 55k vuntai...set by congress and any changes would require congress' intervention. Cant be stopped unilaterally by the president. He can certainly delay the process of approving in the name of vetting/screening watever u want to call it. But these numbers can never be given to any other category. Any unused will go to drain....not like FB and EB where spillover is possible.

Reps introduced a bill in 2012 to remove this quota and those 55k to be allocated to a new quota, "....for those with US masters and PhD degrees from ABET accredited universities". As usual gobbemma wanted to do immi reform only if it had something to do with illegals. Ala vaikuntapuram lo sachindi aa bill.
