Tyrannosauraus_Rex Posted Thursday at 03:32 PM Report Posted Thursday at 03:32 PM They could be anything - from specific scenes, whole movie, teaser, trailer - anything that made you go "wow". For me in no particular order - 1) The trailer for the first BAHUBALI - I specifically remember my first raw, unadulterated reaction as I was watching the trailer for Bahubali. Till then I guess Sukumar, Rajamouli, Trivikram and perhaps a couple of other directors were more or less on the same footing and standing. So, I was expecting a pretty regular, par for the course trailer for a Telugu movie. I remember when Prabhas was running across a green meadow - my mind was blown as to how real that whole setting looked - that massive waterfall - I had not seen anything like that before. I was lazily couched on my sofa as I started watching the trailer and I remember as I watched that waterfall in the trailer - I stiffened by back and sat straight in my sofa. It was the most game changing trailer for a Telugu movie that I ever witnessed then. 2) Sitharala Sirapadu at the movies: Ala Vaikuntapuramulo was a pretty fun, breezy movie that I was enjoying at the cinema and then this song/action sequence came in - what I specifically remember about this is the guitar strumming - and due to the good quality speakers in the movie theater - the sound of it was so sonorous and mellifluous to my ears that it felt so fresh combined with the way that action sequence was designed. The lyrics, the music, the action choreography all made it look so fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed this particular scene. 3) RRR and Naatu Naatu song: This whole movie was an event for me but to see two big heroes coming from two storied Telugu film families join together as one and dance their boots off in Naatu Naatu was certainly a wow moment when I watched it for the first time in the movie theater. Back then apparently big stars like NTR and ANR, Sobhan Babu and Krishna acted in several multi-starrer movies but in the recent decades that had been absent. So to see Ram Charan and JR NTR share the screen space was pretty awesome. BLAST FROM THE PAST: 4) Chantabbai for the first time on TV: Till I saw this movie - the image I had of Chiranjeevi was of a mass action star who can do excellent dance moves, fights and comedy. But this was an out and out comedy movie that someone like a Rajendra Prasad or a Naresh would have done back in the 80's. Chiranjeevi did this movie without using his two major weapons in a mass way - his dances and fights. Chiru's comedy in this movie was brilliant mixed with Jandhyala's writing. This proved to me that had he decided purely to work in movies like this - he could have become as big a comedy hero as Rajendra Prasad etc., I had such fun watching this movie. One of my all time favorite movies in TFI. 5) Aditya 369: Honestly this is one of my go to movies whenever I feel a little bit down - especially the scenes from the Vijayanagara era. Balakrishna absolutely owns the character of Sri Krishna Devarayala. While I am familiar with his more bombastic, loud dialogue delivery and action -in this movie I had seen him being so serene, calm, composed and I absolutely loved this avatar of Balakrishna. Really feel he did'nt exploit this side of his acting. I loved the whole concept of time travel which perhaps was the first time used in a Telugu movie. There are probably other several wow moments for me in TFI - but these came to my mind first as I was composing this topic. Quote

It’s that movie that gave a path Rajamouli for Bahubali and brilliant use of CG in Indian movies. 1 1 Quote
