Its considered traveling outside of the country. So yes, this would be no different thn coming from India, at US port of entry. If u have a valid us visa, no mexican visa required.

there is no cruise to cancun. So I assumed u r flying.

US Visa -> No Mexican visa required, POE same as coming into USA like another outside travel

No US Visa -> Needs Mexican tourist visa, however you cannot back into US so without US Visa NOOO

 

However, there is one rule that says that you can travel up to 30 days to land border countries like Mexico and Canada without visa but I wouldn't risk if I were you to test the rule.

EAD and AP ni visa kinda count cheyyaru… you need a Mexican visa to enter…  go somewhere local to US

For Flight, you need a Visa even if you have an AP.. AP is for coming back to US not to go to Mexico.. 

For Cruise, you don’t need a visa as it is a very short term stay and it is a closed loop trip.. you can use AP to enter U.S..

If you are a US citizen, DL is enough. If you are on visa or gc, take passport and documents.

No visa needed to come back. Just i797 as its considered as automatic revalidation. Mexican visa on arrival istharu. No worries. Very straightforward. But i didnt travel this year. Went last year
