As I keep saying. Be logical.

You go to bangalore and compare with the situation there.

That area is not compatible for you. So why compare?

And how would priority dates moving to 2016 or 2020 impact me? I don't get that part.

I can also apply the same logic to hyderabad. Since its compatible to you. Atleast I looked at benguluru, u have not even crossed ORR.

Don't want you to get defensive but rethink and post again.

Asalu aa road layouts gaani, historical monuments gaani -- India can never replicate. Even if India does, it will be confined to small pockets like Jubilee hills, Kokapet and the likes.

Asalu most important thing: Without reliable & a working local public transport (like undergound tube), a city does not make any sense and not worthy of living.

Probably yes but not to the level of accumulating wealth sufficient for generations.

Agree with you that India is not a Rosy country at all.
Its dirty, AQI is very bad....actually horrible.
The worst part is the people who think its ok.
Culturally, majority of Indians are living in a bubble who think its governments job to clean up everything.
They don't feel personal responsibility towards their nation or what they do matters at all.
Basically, Indians are a big problem.

Lets come to the government.
We have a bad memory of past India and the Congress government.
Compared to the past, BJP is much better but still not good.
Lets clear some missconceptions one by one.

1. Op Sindhoor is a huge success. People aren't matured enough to get it though.
They only look at how many flights we lost or how many we took down.
There are 3 major successes with Op Sindhoor.
First and the most important is the Abeyance of Indus water treaty.
Now, India is getting more water and in the process of setting up dams to divert more water in next couple years.
This will have a huge impact and would lead to break up of Pakistan. War wouldn't do it. Water will.
Second is that India was able to repel attacks from Chinese and American weaponry. This lead to a huge demand for Indian manufactured weapons and defense equipment.
Third,...this people think is a major win, but compared to First, its pretty minor....Terror camps won't be able to form that easily and a lot of fear has been sown.

2. GST is very good long term for India. There are 2 things that ruined things for a lot of businesses initially.
India is in build phase and needed lot of revenue. So the govt kept GST at a higher rate initially to get back the implementation and other infra cost which is a major fumble.
Were we strained for money since we had very low percentage paying tax? Not sure.
I can't blame govt for glitchy rollout because the instituions in place are horrible and backward to do any kind of rapid advancements.
We are getting better though. GST has been simplified recently into fewer slabs and the rates have been bought down for many items.

3. Regarding AQI, people say that govt is doing a bad job.
But for me, I would give them 8 out of 10
They tried to prevent stubble burning by providing free equipment that would reduce the cost of removing stubble. But that didn't work out as burning is even more economical.
They can't outright ban as its democracy. They won't win next elections if they do that. Problem as always are the people.
Thats why they focussed on EVs. They have tripled incentives for rare earth manufacturing.
Giving huge subsidies to install solar panels, buy electric vehicles and set up charging stations.
Its the people who are resisting. I got huge resistance when I tried to install solar panels and buy EV.
Did it any way and now they are all happily enjoying the benefits.
We are getting negative electricity bills and even generating passive income....used to spend 25-30k per month on deisel before..now zero.
Very low maintenece cost as well. This is like a win win. I am not doing a favor by going green.
Same solar installation would have costed me 10X in USA.
And a major announcement happened couple days ago which is going have huge impact on AQI in 2-3 years. The announcement of Sodium-Ion battery breakthrough.
So this AQI thing is termporary. Plan your move in 2-3 years if you have time.

4. Ethanol blending - I don't care about it. Hope petrol prices go to 500 Rs and government slowly mandate 50% Ethanol so that the petrol vehicles breakdown.
Petrol is not the future. EVs are.

5. Petrol station scams....don't care. With EVs, you charge at your home. You don't have to visit stinky gas stations.
Instead of visiting Gas stations 10 times, you might visit an electric charging station just once as 90% of the time, you charge at home.

6. Police Highhandedness - This was a huge problem in US as well till they installed cameras and took out the bad actors.
Police in Hyderabad are getting better. Continuous training is being held to improve the language and behaviour.
I got threatened by police before for no reason. In recent years, I have had more positive encounters.

7. Messi visit is a good learning for everyone. Its going to have a positive impact on future.

Regarding Hyderabad
Instead of focussing on whats not working, lets focus on what changed in last 10 years and whats going to happen in next 10.
We got Metro Rail which is a huge addition
There were very few EVs in 2015. Now you can see many electric buses, 2 and 3 wheelers and recently electric cars as well.
People are selling expensive gas guzzling vehicles and replacing them with electric cars.
Solar growth has also been very high
We could compete with Bangalore at all in terms of IT. There were very low opportunities.
This is copy paste "A huge pharma cluster is here, an Electronics(Chips and Boards) Manufacturing City is being built. Also, a Logistics park is being built in the Airport city. Platforms and opportunities are being laid for the Young Entrepreneurs through T-HUB and WE-HUB. Also, few Government Universities have their own Incubators for these young minds, T-WORKS another master Piece from the IT Chief Secretary Mr. Jayesh Ranjan & team . It is a Prototyping centre in Hyderabad, it is to create and celebrate a culture of hobbyists, makers and innovators in India and they are many more Initiatives taken up by the Government.
The one which seemed the most Interesting to me was the Block Chain District concept. They are laying road for the Future…!! So, what’s the Block Chain District all about??
Land at subsidized rates, funding of research and regulatory and policy support. It also proposes a 25 per cent subsidy on lease rentals up to ₹5 lakh per annum for the first 3 years of operations. The government will provide office space to house all the Blockchain start-ups, co-working and incubation spaces at highly subsidized prices.
This one of its kind initiative will aim to put all Blockchain Companies based out of Hyderabad at a strategically advantageous position globally, The state government has conceptualized the country's first 'Blockchain District', which will be a physical area within Hyderabad, aimed at creating the ecosystem.
If we actually think along the lines of the Government, we can see that Telangana is not only about Hyderabad, every Major District of the State handles various businesses.
The State’s CM has been very keen in bringing out these 4 REVOLUTIONS namely White, Blue, Green and Pink.
White for milk and Diary Industry.
Blue for the Aqua
Green stands for AGRICULTURE
Pink is for Meat.
If these 4 revolutions are to happen for real, then every Telangana citizen can confidently say that Telangana is going to be the number one State and Hyderabad would have gone places by then.
And the most Important thing of all,
****LIFESTYLE*****
How’s it to live in a city like Hyderabad which is so Diverse in its culture and also growing at such a rapid pace??
Well Undoubtedly HYDERABAD is the best city to live in the whole of INDIA. I can fuckin proudly say that. From food to movies to pubs to concerts to resorts to everything possible. You name it, it has it. I guess we are almost competing very near to Bangalore in Pubs or we might have crossed it. Internationally PRISM KITCHEN & BAR has been given the 48th place in the most happening pubs globally and that’s the only Pub from India in that list. Hyderabad has been playing a really good game in the league and with Proper Road ,Metro , Buses, MMTS Hyderabad provides the best End-to-End mile Connectivity in the best possible manner.
ALSO, Everything is cheaper man:-(. Food in Hyderabad is a feast to any person. India’s only UNESCO GASTRONOMY was given to HYDERABAD for its culinary. The city’s vibrant culture is just Goosebumps to me sometimes. "

Also, the roads became much better. Its still not pothole free but if you compare it with 2015, we are in a much better place.

HYDRA - Look at the lakes that have been restored by them. People used to be anti Hydra....not they became a big fan.
In many areas where encroachments were not touched for many years, hydra took them out very quick.
Regarding touching big people, thats a problem all over India. We will get there slowly.
In Hyderabad before 2015, when I applied for license, I was told to pay a bribe.
But later on I got my license, multiple registrations done, went through many govt offices with ZERO BRIBE.
It was unthinkable before.

AI and all starts with infrastructure and we are in the process of building it.

Hospitals are money grabbing businesses everywhere. Our hospital fraud is nothing when compared to US hospitals.

NEXT 10 YEARS

RRR is going to be done.  This will stop Trucks and other vehicles from coming onto ORR

Hyd to Mumbai and Hyd to Bangalore Bullet train will be done.

Metro Expansion .....and many more
