It's just reality , it's much easier to park Black money in real estate ,most of it is controlled by politicians ,ias and ips and other corrupt government officials. Why would startup founders in u.s even invest in hyd real estate when they can make much more lucrative investments elsewhere and managing the property is a headache. Quote

It's the truth.there is no narrow or broad view,go ask any realtor. Real estate is mostly controlled by government officials and politicians and business people mostly into real estate with ancestral lands and then pharma, health and other business owners. Others mostly only buy houses to live there ,it's not a good investment for them.its a big headache to manage property and no use of holding land instead of investing in stocks. Sometimes it's like a circlejerk ,rich people who have land holding and connections get into real estate and get insider info from corrupt officials - they develop it and sell them at cheap prices to the corrupt officials again and rest of them are brought by other politicians and business people and a few others by IT people. Is this a troll account or something ,did you ever talk to realtors? noone is investing in real estate now unless they live in it,it makes zero sense for them unless they belong to the above categories or they got money from selling real estate in their hometown . Go to some new community and ask for the list of owners and ask them what they do . Quote

Whether its white or black money....whether its an employee or govt official, they get money through economic activity. Even for big bribes, some business activity needs to take place. When I said US, you narrowed it down to NRI IT money. Nri IT money is not just money coming in. It causes a chain reaction. In the same way, the US product companies also cause chain reactions. These companies will pay bribes to get their permissions.....thats how babus will get money. Also some part of the black money is actually white....as people buying properties, they don't mention the complete amount for registration. So if the hiring slows down due to AI, it will have huge impact on Hyderabad. In addition to that, AI is not just confined to IT. If you look in US, warehouse workers are being let go, uber drivers are being impacted....drone deliveries will happen, pharma will also be a huge beneficiery etc etc. Quote

If you mean A.I effecting real estate then yeah it will effect all sectors not only real estate. The thing is most of the money is from businesses taking loans unsustainably causing bubbles and some of it is going into the pockets of corrupt officials ,it might provide employment but at the cost of inflation when they aren't able to pay back the loans.
