Dude that's like saying since there was a bad car accident an hour ago, the concept of a car should be thrown out and we go back to bullock carts.

How can government be responsible for some drunkard?

For someone that worked 15 hours of labor, alcohol becomes a necessity to offset pains. In that angle better than buying bootlegged and still expensive liquor sold in past government.

Alcohol is a restricted commodity. Do you understand the reason why this is a restricted product ? Almost every where on earth, Alcohol is restricted and has control. Any reason as to why would anyone do such a thing ?

There are ill effects of alcohol and promoting them is like encouraging people do drink. This is the reason why we do not even allow advertisements and promotions.

And then comes a CM who openly promotes liquor. From restriction to free availability, Do you understand where it is heading?

Govt’s all over are bracing for more tight control and then comes a CM who promoted liquour…99 Rs ke quarter ani…! No CM has ever did that in India.

In this case, Yes CBN has to be blamed for his ill policy and loose control on liquor.

The answer to where we are heading is "intimidation politics" as if all the evil associated in the world is with 99 rupee liquor assurance. There is no right and wrong way of doing it, even birds and animals indulge in getting high through various means and is part of nature.  That's why humans also do "such a thing". We can agree that drugs make a permanent damage to body, so they are not the same however liquor has been in use for millennia.

If a leader is willing to totally eradicate it from true conscience they will make it literally impossible like making it 999 or publish public interest advertisements and become a staunch advocate of the ban. If our leaders reach that stage, then then we can see. Until then, liquor ban is just a drama wherever it happens in India so that people in power associated rules can take advantage depending on the situation. Simply making it 150-300 instead of 99 will not fool anyone, only the goons make profit of the situation.

Just like how we do not try to have sex with every other female we encounter on the street, or keep hacking animals just for the fun of it irrespective of consumption needs, the control has to come from the individuals end. No one forced anyone to go buy 99 liquor either.

And in your entire conversation, You have conveniently ignored the ill effects of alcohol and the need to restrict. No one promoted alcohol, at least in the recent past if anyone have tried to gain political mileage using liquor is CBN. He should take the blame. Instead of control, his administration has ensured liquor is freely available every where…

See if you can come up with better example than ‘sex with every female’. It does not sync with the situation.
