@Android_Halwa What is the difference between operational(UDAN) vs regular airport

Rural airports, air strips which were barely operational and important for connectivity, are covered under UDAN. Apart from giving funding to airlines, this scheme also provides funding/fund allocation for UDAN designated airport with additional operational finds so that the operator, often AAI is reimbursed some of operational expenses like maintenance and helps such airport to upgrade the infra like landing facilities.

Regular airports are privately run airports kike Delhi, Hyd and AAI run airports like CCU and MAS…

Regional airports rdeveloped under udan scheme where govt provides the viability gap funding (VGF) for operational airports. currently, 100% of these airports r connected with Indigo.

No need to depend on Amaravathi va....its like Austin or Sacramento...not going to be a mega city. Decentralized development tho ade advantage. all cities r developed equally. Vizag, amaravathi, tirupathi will serve as regional growth centers

Exactly. Region and size decides economic model. Telangana does not need a decentralized model and Hyd’s growth overspill valla other regions grow avutayi…we do not need additional airports as our road network itself is so intensive…sikkolu nundi kuppam povalante one day padtadi but adilabad nundi palamoor ki less than 10 hours lo velipotaru…

Airports maak avasaram le however anither airport north of Hyderabad indeed is needed.

Comparison terms kuda matters…

Kerala has 4 airports and all four are international.

Kerala coastline is about 500 kms and have four, that’s almost an airport every 100 kms. Plus Mangalore airport in Karnataka, Coimbatore airport in Tamil Nadu majorly serve malayalis.
