Hari Karasani, a native of Adhanki in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, has gone missing during a solo trip to Alaska, raising serious concern among his family and friends due to extreme weather conditions in the region.

Hari, who was living in Houston, Texas, travelled alone by flight from Houston to Alaska on December 22, 2025.

Before leaving, he informed his roommates about his travel plans and later told them that he was staying at a motel near the Denali area. He had assured them that he would return within two weeks, by January 3 or 4.

The last time Hari spoke to his roommates was on December 30, 2025.

According to available information, he vacated the motel on December 31, after which his mobile phone has remained switched off.

Initially, his roommates assumed the lack of contact was due to poor network connectivity in the mountainous Denali region.

However, concerns deepened after credit card records showed a Lyft transaction, which was later disputed.

This raised questions about his movements after checking out of the motel. There has been no confirmed activity linked to Hari since December 31.

Adding to the worry, temperatures in the Denali region reportedly dropped to as low as –40°F shortly after December 31, making survival extremely difficult, especially for someone travelling alone.

It is also known that Hari does not know how to drive, limiting his ability to move independently in remote areas.

With no communication, no confirmed sightings, and no financial activity since then, friends and family are increasingly anxious about his safety.

They are urging authorities and the public to help trace his whereabouts and provide any information that could assist in locating him.

Hope he is safe and alive. Manaki winter preparedness vundadu and awareness thakkuva. Houston based man ante I'm sure he probably doesnt know how to deal with extreme temperatures.

Frost bite is a real thing....be well prepared folks. Anytime temperature drops below 10F, atleast 4 layered clothing with thermals and face coverings are required.
