rey...konchem common sense vaadu. endhuku intha silly ga maatladuthav.

How does range matter ani annav naa post ni quote chesi.

How range matters ani already aa post lo explain chesina.....Battery size will be less...less materials ani.

Sodium ion cheppina....antha cheppina tharuvatha kuda malli stupid ga argue chestaventi?

Argue chey....but come with a point. Adhi valid aithe, I will be more happy. Because I will learn from it and will take a U turn

Naaku nee laga ego ledhu. If you logically argue, I will definitiely take back everything I said.

You have to be better than your previous self. So, keep that in mind. Don't keep shooting at your own foot.

It doesn't fking matter whether I am right or you are right....ikkada evaru gelichinavallaki prize ivvatledhu. This is just to exchange opinions and better ourselves.

Atla kaadanna..everything u see is not as straight as it appears. EV creates more pollution than u can imagine and its a huge problem now. The battery life is only 8-10 yrs currently and do u know that discarding battery is be classified as hazardous waste? Do u know its illegal to dump batteries of any sort in household trash? The cost of recycling batteries is currently expensive. To get cobalt and nickel out of those batteries, thy require a special chemical process.

EVs first came in during 2011-12, if everything is as rosy as thy appear why only 10% of the market is captured by EVs even after 15 yrs since inception? I dont think Musk wud really care about the damage he is creating to the environment…the likes of how Standard oil thought during the automobile revolution.

This was the case 10-15 years ago. Back then I would have agreed.

If you still see this in any article, its just propaganda by Big Oil.

If you see my posts, I have already answered that. The previous video I posted already answered that.

Let me try again. Open up your mind. Its a mental block to accept something new for a lot of people. Its due to the brains self defense mechanism to protect its core beliefs.  Try to continue without getting triggered or getting defensive.

Batteries life isnt 8-10 years. They outlive the car. I bought an electric car and the manufacturer warranty on the battery is 15 years. Doesnt mean battery life is 15 years. It will go beyond 20 or 25 easily.

Regarding Cobalt, since its expensive, its usage has been dramatically reduced(In 2024, the average EV sold globally contained 2.5 kilograms of cobalt which was 14% decline from 2023. By January-August of 2025, that figure dropped to 2.2 kilograms, a 17% decline from the previous year.).

Currently many cars have LFP(Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries which have Nickel replaced with Iron

Sodium Ion doesnt have nickel, cobalt not even lithium.Next gen Solid state batteries are even more cleaner.

So, all this argument about extracting Cobalt and Nickel doesn't matter much in the long run.

And regarding recycling, LFP can work for more than million milles. If the car becomes old, the battery as a whole can be transferred to a new body.

Sodium Ion can run for 5.8 million miles. This means that the same battery can be reused into 10 different cars.

Recycling is needed for sure....but its not going to be as difficult as people have earlier imagined due to battery advancements.

Regarding Elon Musk, he really cares. His life mission is to save human consciousness. And the way to save it is by making us multi planetary. So that if something happens to Earth, humans aren't extinct like the dinosaurs. Read Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson. Space launch costs dropped 10x mainly due to Elon.

There are many things that people don't know. He single handedly saved Ukraine by shipping starlink terminals for free to reestablish communication.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starlink_in_the_Russian-Ukrainian_War

Money isn't his motivation. He keeps saying that he has more than enough. The Trillion dollar pay package he wanted at Tesla was to retain voting rights so that Tesla doesn't get impacted by activist investors.

He cofounded Open AI as he feared Google AI which wa closed and its founders were fine with humans going extinct. They called him Speciest.

And then when Open AI took funding from Microsoft and became closed, he started xAI and made it opensource.

If you call facts as propaganda by big oil, I call ur beliefs as leftist propaganda. Now wat u got to say about that. ade starting lo anna.

I read books about him back in the mid 2010s. Elon is definitely a great entrepreneur, no question. But not a great human being. You must have made good money from his stocks that doesn't mean he is the greatest human. I see this the same way as idolizing telugu cine heroes.

Elon is supposed to go to Mars in 2025, now we in 2026 and he is still around. NASA has been doing research on life in other planets even before he was born. There is no evidence of life or livable conditions anywhere in other planets. Digest this first. His mission/vision is useless based upon these facts. I have to give it to him; he was successfully able to sell moving trash with iPad in it at a premium price many bought it.

Never have I mentioned Ni and Co are dangerous. I only mentioned extracting them is expensive. Lead and Li ions are the problem. You cannot create a battery of any sort for EVs without these.

Sorry however much you try, I only go by facts not ur leftist agenda. My first couple of questions still remain unanswered. you keep circumventing those and try to make me look like I dont know while the facts remain otherwise. Nice psychology lecture. EVs look cool and definite alternative to gasoline vehicles but thy r not the saviors of the world. Gas is more than 100 years around and generations changed with it. I have faith in hydrogen if it ever succeeds...less environmental impact thn EVs.

Lets agree to disagree and move on.

"Elon is supposed to go to Mars in 2025"

1.  Great people always go for moonshot. Nikola Tesla did the same, Steve Jobs did the same.

"You must have made good money from his stocks"

2. These kind of assumptions stunts your growth

"There is no evidence of life or livable conditions anywhere in other planets. Digest this first."

3. Earth itself wasn't livable first. Plan is to create circumstances which makes Mars livable.

"Never have I mentioned Ni and Co are dangerous. I only mentioned extracting them is expensive."

4. Already said that the amount is decreasing and in LFP no nickel is used...means no need to extract Nickel from LFP.

"Lead and Li ions are the problem. You cannot create a battery of any sort for EVs without these."

5. Already mentioned that Sodium Ion batteries don't have Lithium. They don't have lead either. You haven't updated your thoughts based on new information. And you don't have a vision of the future.

"Gas is more than 100 years around and generations changed with it."

6. Noone is denying that. Horses have been for generations as well and helped us develop. Are we using horses?

ohh thanks for the classic lecture. My 2 basic questions in the first post remains unanswered. Anyways, no point digging this further. The world moves on....with 90% still using gas vehicles aka horses. wait till electric flights r introduced before flying to India.

What basic questions?

https://www.visualcapitalist.com/charted-global-ev-adoption-2019-vs-2025/

The Collapse of Combustion Engines

In 2019, traditional combustion engines represented more than 90% of new vehicle sales worldwide. By 2025, that share has fallen to just 57%. This sharp decline reflects tighter emissions regulations, corporate commitments to phase out gasoline models, and consumer demand for cleaner alternatives.

Year Combustion Engine Hybrid Battery Electric Plug-in Hybrid Others
2019 91.2% 5.9% 1.9% 0.7% 0.3%
2025 (Q1) 56.7% 21.1% 15.7% 6.1%

0.4%
