Half knowledge post. Its tiring to keep explaining away these idiotic posts. Do some basic reading before forming an opinion.

 

Learn about the history of gasoline vehicles first. They used to break down every 2-3 kms. Used a lot of oil and were very toxic.

It took lot of time and subsidies for them to become better. In the meanwhile, people like you used to say cars don't work and horse carriages were much better.

 

Current electric vehicles are already much better than ICE vehicles and have a huge potential ahead. 

1. Sodium Ion battery breakthrough happened which uses Zero lithium. Sodium is abundant, cheap, and less resource-intensive to extract. 

2. Blade Battery Version 2 has been released which would increase the usage till 1 Million miles and increased the range by 10% for the same capacity. For 1 million miles, ICE would need to change the engine 4-5 times. And you can decrease the battery capacity by 10% and get the same range.

3. Solid State breakthroughs have been happening which would extend the range by 40% which means that for the same range, a much smaller battery can be used.

 

In order not to embarass yourself, I would suggest you to read Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson.

Stock overinflation is true but one thing you need to appreciate elon is finding the right technologies and right people at right time and actively involving himself in every operation 

Paypal during saas boom ,tesla when fossil fuels became a thing of concern ,provided a platform for everyone who were kicked out by other mainstream social media platforms and now even space x has huge potential and then played a part in kickstarting research on llms.

He either has insanely good advisors or is really interested in everything he does.
