Hello Friends, I would like to tell you about

an incident which occurred to me in Minneapolis/ Saint Paul last night.I was picked up by ICE and detained for more than 6 hours in their detention center. They picked me up from the parking lot of Walmart.

They were very brutal and just told me that I was out of status before making arrest. I am on H1B visa and my status had ended on 8th. But my extension is also under processing. They just told me that I am out of status and an illegal now.

Luckily, a very kind officer looked at my case and made efforts to release me soon. I was lucky to get out within just 6 hours. Otherwise, it might have taken days or months even to be on detention before a judge look at my case.

During arrest, I told the officers that I can show them all the extension papers in my phone but they were just brutal and didn't listened. I don't think that there is any point in carrying documents as well. If for any reason you are flagged in their system, they will arrest and take you to detention center.

I’m in bad situation. My initial H1 was filed in level 4 and now during extension the minimum wage has increased way too much that my company has decided to let me go.

I’m thinking to suggest for them to file H1 extension in level 3(same soc) Before that wanted to know if this is feasible ? Anyone got H1 approved in same scenario ? Please help to respond or just comment so this post might reach others who can help me. Thank you 🙏.

Fake story kavachhu.. pending H1B ki out of status avvaru kadaa 

May be true too.. also he is in Minneapolis where there is heavy ICE presence and they are trying to find as many ppl as they can in that area.. may be he came up in the expired visas list.. lucky ga baitaki vachesaadu..
