Best advise I can give is don't be a slave to emotions and you will get clarity to analyse situations from multiple perspectives without much bias , I have been following this since my college.

Today marks 11 years in North America—so many ups and downs, and I’m still searching for peace.

Life hasn’t been fair: from being bullied, to not getting an H1B, to the irony of those same people later asking me how to move to Canada.

I’ve been cheated out of money when I didn’t have it, fired from jobs, and then managed to secure new ones.

Life isn’t fair.

Sometimes I feel that if my visa had been rejected on December 15, 2014, I might be in a much better position today, making a better living.

Yet, I also leave with a lifetime of memories and friendships

That's not a life lesson it's a low level thinking.
