I do not know how they claim VB train as the fastest train of India when Coromandel Express I travelled in 90s exceeded the speed of VB

After the British left in 1947, not even 5% of additional tracks added but the population got 5 times bigger

"By late 2025, Indian Railways' total track length was around 105,672 km, with significant expansion in higher-speed corridors, though earlier reports projected reaching 120,000 km (1.2 lakh km) by 2025, showing rapid growth from 2014 levels (around 79,342 km) through extensive new line construction (34,428 km between 2014-2025) and modernization efforts"

We are not talking about replacing tracks buddy, we are talking about net increment of NEW Tracks that can accommodate VB trains.

120,000 ?????? Get out of hallucination buddy, the present total length in 2026 is less than 69,000 with nearly 20-30% of it being loop lines to accommodate train crossings.

I spent a decent 25 years in AP before migrating to UK. Have relatives both in Police and Railway departments.

Main junctions are Kazipet, VJA, Secbad, Renigunta, Guntakal, Gudur and Guntur.

Tell me how many new junctions are added between 1947 and 2026?

Okay even if we were to agree, how come the average speed of VB still lesser than Coromandel express?
