Every Indian citizen has the right to vote. NRIs are still citizens of India. Indian Passport vuntadi to prove their citizenship. Alantidi, every time voter manipulation nadustadi.

Sare voter list lo enroll chesukundam prati sari anukunte, mandatory documents lo either passport with Indian address or Aadhaar card antaru. Indian passport overseas renew chesukunte, overseas local address vestunnaru. Ide concern Collectors, Election Officers, ECI ki teesukelte, NRI vi kada inka vote enti antaru. Foreign national and Citizen of India ki difference teleedu nishaani gaallu, veellu desanni naduputunnaru!

Recent ga Aadhaar card NRIs ki kuda istunnaru annaru kaani, last elections varaku idi paristhiti kaadu. Let's consider an Indian national who has not got an opportunity to apply for Aadhaar card yet. So, you are not allowing him to vote until he figures out this mess.

That is beside the point. Right to vote is a constitutional right. Indian citizen.

They should be able to choose based on address proof. Afterall, they get only one vote. Why are they not accepting passport for citizenship status and some other document such as registration document or some utility bill together to establish jurisdiction? Resident Indians ki matram siggu lekunda multiple votes istaru - hyderabd lo okati, Andhra lo okati, rayalaseema maama intlo inkokati.

>>> Indian passport overseas renew chesukunte, overseas local address vestunnaru.

When renewing passports at the Indian embassies, choose your indian address as "Passport Print Address" and USA address as other address.
This will help you keep Indian address in the passport and keep your Vote ID intact.

nenu ade chesa, but somehow they still did the US address last time. I was irritated as they do not take the responsibility anyway and I avoided additional work.

How about those many people who come from middle class and lived in rental houses in India? Sontha oorulo parents land vuntademo kaani, vaallu perigina city lo emi vundadu. Rental houses and parents hop around. Leda vunna koncham land ammi, city lo hospitals taggara chinna apartment konukkunnaru parents. Moreover, itani peru meeda address proof ela chupistadu? Compare the process of registering to vote with any other country.

We always view these things from our lens. Think from a broader perspective.
