James Chew, Intel's newly appointed Vice President of Government Technology, announced on Tuesday that the company had successfully secured a significant contract with the U.S. Department of War (formerly the Department of Defense) as the chip supplier for the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under the Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovation Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) program. The program, valued at up to $151 billion, is considered one of the most ambitious projects of the U.S. Department of War.

Chip manufacturing is dominated by TSMC. Market share is > 90%. China eyeing Taiwan for this reason. This is the reason for Trump to want to bring back chip manufacturing to US. Who better than Intel?

Read about new Intel CEO (appointed early 2025) who has a good track record of turning around chip companies. His deals and vision is already seen in the moves he is making.

Company has run up a lot though in recent times.  Not an investment advice. Do your own due diligence
