Any Telegram groups for those who are planning to apply in next 6 months? Looks like most of the Covid GC batch will be eligible to apply.

Think before applying. You will be forever America's B!tch paying taxes whatever you own including Indian assets.

I think processing time is between 12 -18 months in most of the cities, not like 1-2 months someone mentioned earlier.

All H1-B holders and gc holders (resident aliens in uncle sams view) must declare world-wide income including Indian assets. Just coz Indian citizen, doesn't give any resident alien an immunity from tax liabilities on foreign earned income. when all the systems are integrated, an irs tax audit can invite secondary at POE even for h1 holders. keep that in mind.

Only difference is that US citizens have to file taxes even when residing elsewhere in the world and get taxed if the income is above 70k.

South Florida lo no waiting time.
# applied In middle of July. got everything done by end of August

# another family- Submitted in February 2025. -  6 months prior to completion of 5 year GC tenure- got interview scheduled in October and got it completed in a month.

Very recently they introduced neighborhood inquiry process . Not sure if it can cause any delays.

just asking for information in U S C I S site it says only 90days prior to becoming 5 yrs of GC , and also this site confirms same https://www.uscis.gov/archive/uscis-early-filing-calculator , is there any other place or source can confirm 6months prior to 5 yrs of GC tenure.

i am only asking for information purpose not challenging anyone as in the site mentioned anyone who apply prior to 90 days of 5 yrs of gC will be rejected.

I know someone who applied 2 months prematurely and his case was rejected after the interview...stating he applied 60 days earlier than the required time. 6 months before is a wild claim. I'd be interested to know too.

It’s 5 years -90 Days, recommended to apply like 5 Years -80 Days
