No , because they will never generate as much value as software products ,they will give you basic income especially if it gets saturated.

Future is going to be research oriented.high paying jobs will only be research jobs in hard sciences like ML ,nuclear physics and biology  because it gets harder and harder to make meaningful contribution with automation that's the main reason why core engineering branches have gone down in recent times unless you get higher degrees ,even cse will become the same .

Coding will be like basic language skills for everyone and even machine learning terminology will soon become general knowledge.

Na, what he said was right.... plumber, fitter, mechanic, etc are getting as good as average software engineers in Western countries....

Infact many are waiting weeks to get their appointments to get sxhit fixed...while they can easily hire software engineer in an hour....

Ma house ye example radiator valve dengeste repair Vadu gave appointment in 3 weeks... saying he has too much work...then came changed the valve and billed...500 bucks....it's 15 min work and 15 min check...just for 30 min he charged that and went to other work nearby....said he does minimum 3-4 jobs every day and in some days even more...rojuki 1500-2000 bucks inka lekkeskondi....

And these jobs can't be replaced by Automation for atleast couple of decades... No robot can fix my plumbing
