I had a small facture in 2015 while playing cricket.. I paid 1500$ out of pocket during that time. 5 minute consultation and splint. 

X ray was 2$ out of pocket.

I just had a finger dislocation a couple weeks ago and went to emergency since it looked more like a fracture. They billed 8K. Out of pocket is 3500.

Look at this.. total bill is $41K.. simple blood tests like lipid panel, a1c, etc ki motham 10K charge chesaadu... simple tablets that each cost less than 25 cents  ki $100+ charge chesaadu.. Bay Area lo anta aa emergency room
