KN Ramajayam was unofficial dictator of Trichy during DMK palana. He made lots of enemies and was rumoured to have ladies weakness. He is from Tamil Reddiar background (maybe relation with Telugu Cheddys).

Here are some rumoured suspects for the murder in 2012.

1. Jaya and Sasikala during ADMK rule had business rivalry with him
2. Annayya Nehru worried he would overtake him
3. He violated some rich girl, so her family took revenge
4. Some DMK or ADMK MLAs are against his domination
5. Seemandhra or Telangana Cheddies wanted revenge for harassment
