I don't know if Tirupati laddo had Animal Fat or not

Out of curiosity i asked ChatGpt, see the below response

It has to do with the way the question was framed

Do all chemical esters come from animal fat?

Nope — most chemical esters do not come from animal fat. That’s a super common misconception.

Here’s the clean breakdown 👇

What esters actually are

An ester is just a type of chemical compound formed when:

  • an acid + an alcohol react

That’s it. Nothing in that definition requires animals.

Where esters come from (sources)

Esters can be made from many sources:

🌱 Plant-based

  • Vegetable oils (soy, palm, coconut, rapeseed)

  • Fruits (many fruit flavors are esters)

  • Sugar-derived alcohols

🧪 Synthetic (most common)

  • Made entirely in labs from petroleum-derived or bio-based chemicals

  • No animal involvement at all

🐄 Animal-based (less common, optional)

  • Animal fats can be used if the ester is made from fatty acids derived from tallow or lard

  • This is not the default, and it’s declining fast due to cost, ethics, and regulations

Common examples (no animal fat)

  • Ethyl acetate (nail polish remover, food flavoring) → synthetic

  • Isoamyl acetate (banana flavor) → synthetic

  • Polyesters (plastics, clothing) → petroleum-based

  • Biodiesel esters → usually vegetable oils

When animal fat might be involved

  • Some soaps, cosmetics, candles, lubricants

  • Only if the label says:

    • tallow-derived

    • animal fatty acids

    • oleic/stearic acid (animal source specified)

Bottom line

Most esters = synthetic or plant-based
Animal fat is NOT required
⚠️ Only specific products choose animal fat as a raw material

Animal Fat is not requited ( In some cases it might have in some cases it might not have)

If i'm not wrong, I remember the lab report did not specifically say it had beef tallow? It suspected

All i'm trying to say is AI responses are based on how the questions are framed. you can clearly see the difference in the screenshot you posted and the response i received
