A cornered Congress was on Tuesday mulling its options after the state unit gave feedback that rebellious MP Jaganmohan Reddy has made up his mind to quit the party and a recent programme on his news channel criticising Sonia Gandhi was reflective of his eagerness to invite action on himself.

Andhra Pradesh CM K Rosaiah on Tuesday held discussions with defence minister A K Antony, who heads AICC's disciplinary action committee, to discuss the emerging situation in the state.

Jagan is seen to have decided to leave the party as he sees little future in Congress which he thinks is marginalising his supporters.

For Congress, the key concern is impact of his quitting on the state government and on the volatile sub-regional politics with Telangana as a ticking bomb of sorts.

The report of a central committee on the issue of statehood is to come by theyear-end. A "free" Jagan, who has positioned himself along the "united Andhra" plank, can stoke sentiments in Coastal and Rayalaseema regions to marginalise Congress.

A decision against statehood too is risky since the region could erupt in a popular agitation which has already paralysed governance for many months in extended spells in the past.

The presence of PRP chief Chiranjeevi in the Capital on Tuesday showed that Congress may tie up with him to offset any threat to the Rosaiah regime in the event of Jagan walking out. While TRS has offered help, the support to Rosaiah would come as a quid pro quo for Telangana statehood.

but at that time YSR was in the work forming a new organisational Structure  for Congreess from root level until 2001 elections..
but now no politician got such charisma to go to People except jagamn.

Even for Jagan its gonaa take a while  and a lot of money to get that Charisma of YSR in the hearts of people ..

also next Election would cost a lot for Congress and also gonnaa be a big lesson for the Centre.
