The conference would examine the opportunities for Indian industry resulting from the proposed changes in the defence offset and production policies.
At present, 70 percent of the defence procurement is sourced from abroad, while the rest is supplied as components and sub-assemblies by domestic industry, said the ISB release, citing a Deloitte-CII study.

ISB dean Ajit Rangnekar said key policy makers, industry leaders and experts from academia would assess the business potential in the Indian defence sector.

Among the attendees are Shekhar Dutt, governor of Chhattisgarh, MM Pallam Raju, minister of state for defence and heads of various PSUs as well as defence equipment manufacturing companies in SME, MNC and PSU categories.
