OU student protest turns violent;Police fire bullets.

The protest against the Sri Krishna report by the Osmania student JAC has turned violent with police firing the rubber bullets on the students.The students took to streets near Osmania in protest against the report and started pelting stones on the police personnel near by.

[b]Hyderabad CP AK Khan said that students have pelted stones on the OU police station and in the melee 24 police personnel were injured by the stones thrown by students.''We have no other option but to fire 15 rounds of rubber bullets to disburse the students'' said AK Khan.[/b]

Meanwhile four students were reportedly injured with the rubber bullets fired by the police and one student's(Ravi kumar) condition was said to be critical.Ravikumar was taken to Gandhi medical college where he was operated and a metal bullet was retrieved from the abdomen revealed doctor Narasaiah.

The Osmania JAC has given a call for bandh on friday in protest against the police arrogance.
