''Gali Janardhan reddy's mining is illegal''-CEC

BJP Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan reddy has received a jolt from the Supreme court appointed 'Central Empowered Committee'' which has recommended the Apex court to cancel the the licenses of the Obulapuram mining corporation.

The panel which submitted its report to the Spreme court has found out that the Obulapuram mining corporation and Ananthapur mining corporation have resorted to illegal mining beyond the approved area and also encroaching into the Bellary resered forsets causing destruction to the environment.

It recommended the cancellation of four mining licenses spread across 140 acres belonging of OMC and AMC which belongs to the Gali brothers.

Panel observed that the Bellary iron ore comapany and Mahabaleswar company too have carried out illegal mining by encroaching into the adjacent lands and recommended that these two companies be fined @ 20 times more than the present price .

Mentioning about illegal construction, the panel said it has further found that in one mine of 68.5 hectare, “five roads has been illegally constructed in the reserved forest area and outside the approved lease” in violation of the provisions of the Forest (Conservation) Act and the condition on which the lease was given.

The committee also found that a mining lease of 39.5 hectare, executed by the Department of Mines of Andhra Pradesh government in favour of OMC, “differed materially from forest area for which the approval under the Forest (Conservation) Act has been obtained” originally.

[b]The panel noted that these illegal mining activities could have happened with the full knowledge of the A.P govt. officials.''The violations could not have happened without the help of Andhra Pradesh government officials'' said the panel.[/b]

However the Gali brothers were given 20 days time for any grievences on the CEC panel report.

Meanwhile,karnataka minister Gali Janardhan reddy claimed that the Congress is implementing revenge game on us and said "It's totally with a prejudiced mind, it is totally against us, When time comes I will tell the names of the politicians of this country who want to finish the steel industry and the Janardhana Reddy family.

The CEC report today will be a blessing in disguise for the opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka who are crying foul on the illegal mining of the Gali brothers.

The TDP has lead a relentless fight against the illegal mining and encroachment of Gali Janardhan reddy's OMC mining into the andhra pradesh territory and has alleged Gali's OMC encroachment carried out with late YSR's connivance.
