There is no DB sharing between US banks & UK banks. But some banks like HSBC normally now a days tracking, so he may not be able to do any more banking with HSBC in US or else where.
Nothing will happen even if he comes to UK. They ask for settlement. Thats it. Neither his visa nor his entry into UK is trashed when he tries to enter UK.
But these things are not advisable for guys who are working with MNCs since at times these banks send a complaint to the company for which the guy works for and obviously there might be some remark in his company's record. But not always the case.

Sorry
I have forgotten to mention a precaution. If he has done something wrong against the bank's norms or has committed a crime while securing that said '2000 GBP', he may have to face unexpected actions by Bank or any authority/country dealing with Visa.
That may include anything from levying fine to detaining.
