Anantapur, Jan 14: Ms Gangula Bhanumati, wife of the slain faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri has made a sensational statement here that the TDP chief, Mr N.Chandrababu Naidu was behind the murder of her husband.

Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, Ms Bhanumati said Mr Naidu should own moral responsibility for the murder. She has alleged that family members of late Paritala Ravi were responsible for the murder.

Ms Bhanumati has claimed that her husband reportedly told that he had threat to his life from Paritala Ravi’s followers Pothula Suresh and Chaman.She said that they have physically eliminated her husband because they feared that they would have to go into oblivion if Suri came to politics.

She said that she lost confidence on the police as they failed to arrest Bhanu,the main suspect, even after so many days of the murder. Demanding that the case be handed over to the CBI, she has said that the police were not showing as much interest as they were showing on Bhanu’s properties on finding him. She has also alleged that one channel was indulging in spreading of false news, to divert the case.
