Narayana writes to Sonia on Telangana issue

In a letter to Ms Gandhi,a copy of which was released to the press here, Mr Narayana said ”People of Andhra Pradesh are in uncertain situation. Its impact is prevailing upon political parties as well as on the State government, too.

”Continuation of this situation further is not fair. Even the State government is unable to fulfill their duties freely,”.

The CPI State Secretary said the report of Justice Srikrishna Committee has added more confusion to the issue.

”Ultimately, political process is the only way. So in this background, the Congress Party should play a key role as it is ruling the State and the Centre.

”But, Andhra Pradesh State Congress President and Chief Minister are stating that they will accept whatever high command decides on the Telangana issue.” Mr Narayana appealed to Ms Gandhi to make a policy statement on the Justice Srikrishna Committee report before Union Home Minister P Chidambaram’s all-party meeting scheduled to be held on January 26.
