Ravi Teja, who featured in the Chargers side for the first three editions, was retained. Other promising youngsters from the city to be picked include Akash Bhandari and Ashish Reddy. Harmeet Singh Bansal, who essayed a crucial role in Chargers winning the second edition of IPL in South Africa and made his presence felt with the ball in the subsequent edition at home, also features in the squad.Kedar Devdhar, who played in the just-concluded Ranji Trophy final for Baroda, is another player who will be keenly followed. The wicket-keeper batsman has been a key member of the Baroda side that had a dream run in the domestic competition.Karnataka’s Bharat Chipli, who has played many a stellar knock for his side in he domestic competitions, will wear the Chargers’ jersey and so would Ishank Jaggi from Jharkhand. Jaggi is handy with the bat and can roll his arm over too. Chennai have also signed Tamil Nadu seamer Yo Mahesh, who was part of Delhi Daredevils’ squad for the first three seasons. Chennai may also rope in Aniruddha Srikkanth who also played in last seasons of IPL and also he is a son of former Indian player K Srikanth.
