1)Applying to shady colleges without proper accredition.
2) Wasting your time working illegally in Gas stations and Motels on minimum wage
3) Putting your lives in the hands of Desi consulting firms.

I have a lot of friends in IT industry and this is what I see/hear regularly.

Student applies for F1 visa with Fake Bank Documents. He applies to a below average university without proper course curriculum (ALA Gannon, Lamar, Stratford and many more). Due to his inability to pay the fees for the worthless education he is receiving, he starts working off campus (illegally) on minimum wage. In order to pay the fees in full to maintain his status, he has to work anywhere from 30 to 60 hours off campus. Due to lack of time/skill, he does not acquire any knowledge in his field of study. Irrespective of what his major is, he goes to IT field with no knowledge. He joins a desi consultancy and is housed with 10 more people in a 2 bedroom apartment. He starts working on his 'fake' resume with 5 to 6 yrs of fake experience. Marketing team will try to find positions in his area of 'expertise' on a daily basis and his resume is changed drastically for every job position. In most cases, another person will take the interview instead of the candidate. He will go to the client place and there are good chances that he will be fired in the first week. If he survives and the project ends after 6 months, he is back in the consultancy. While working, he stays with a bunch of roomies to save every penny as the Consulting firm pays dirt. He also has to think about H1B visa filing, H1B visa stamping and eventually Green card processing.If the company is not willing to sponsor H1B due to duration of the project etc, he enrolls into a university like Trivalley to maintain his immigration status as he continues to work on his job. He pays 6k to 10k per year in worthless fees.If the project ends and if there is no CPT, he gets fake pay stubs W2s from his consultancy.

Where does this end? Is this really worth it? Why is everyone hell bent on breaking the law instead of utilizing the opportunities this country provides. Mind you..there is no room for slackers and if you want to live an american dream, you have to shed blood and sweat. These people shed their sweat in illegal work. I say...throw them away so that the next generation will learn their lesson and will work harder to achieve their goals instead of relying on short cuts and adapting hard mentality.

friends  all are trying to up  lift their families by doing hard work and facing many difficulites in usa....... thier is nothing wrong in doing these.............. circumstances are makeing them to do so......... if all are ambani and tatas sons and grandsons we would have not come here

My parents cant support me and univ doesn't give me a scholarship even if i deserve, the govt doesn't provide me loans, moreover i have to pay twice the amount of fee  only because i am not a citizen.... then what? can you justify this?

people tend break the law only when they feel that they are out casted........... why do you differentiate a student based on his immigration status.... why can a citizen work off campus and why not F1

and coming to Desi consultancies... face the facts.......... people are here only to make money( few exceptions who are driven my passion)
I am here to make money. I too moved to IT to make money.......... that doesn't mean thats my final destination...... some times you have to bow to realities of life....... you have to keep your passions and wants subdued for time being in order to fulfill some responsibilities..........
