Hyderabad, Jan 26 (INN): In a gruesome find, the parts of an infant's body were found in Mallapur under Nacharam police station limits late on Tuesday.

According to Sub Inspector T Ramu, the body parts of the five-to-ten day old infant were found in Venkata Ramana Colony, Mallapur on Tuesday evening. The Sub-inspector said that only the head and left hand of the body were discovered, making identification difficult.

Mr Ramu said that the remaining parts of the body may have been eaten up by stray dogs.

Police registered a case under section 318 IPC and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary.
