I have been contacted by a few students who studied at TVU regarding transferring to our university. I would imagine that many of our Indian students here may have friends who were studying at TVU and we wanted to provide you guidance on the situation so you can forward the information. This is what we know so far from the Student Exchange Visitor Program (immigration) regarding the closing of Tri-Valley University:We have been contacted by SEVIS regarding the situation of students at Tri-Valley University and these are your instructions. Any TVU student MUST contact the Student Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) at 703-603-3400 to discuss their visa status immediately. Also, send an email explaining your situation to SEVP to [email protected]. SEVP is still reviewing the situation to determine the best recourse and will not communicate with anyone other than the students. DO NOT expect an immediate response from SEVP on this as they are still working on the situation and WILL NOT SPEAK to anyone at this time. This is our strong recommendation:My strong recommendation to any student from TVU is to IMMEDIATELY enroll in classes at an accredited reputable university to show SEVP intent to continue in an academic program to maintain your status. It is our understanding that SEVP is trying to make the determination about the status of the Tri-Valley students and their responsibilities in any violation of immigration rules. Anything a student can do at this time to show good intent to maintain their visa status can only help. What does a student need to do to study at A&M-Commerce?Any student who wants to come A&M-Commerce this spring will need to send an email to [email protected] with the following information:· Full name· Campus wide ID number (if they have studied at A&M-Commerce previously)· Any major studied or degree earned at A&M-Commerce (if applicable)· Degree/major student will seek at A&M-Commerce. It is imperative that students contact [email protected] as I am working directly with the admissions and academic departments regarding this situation and there may be serious immigration implications. manoghna Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 as of my knowledge ,I think unva,stratford are safe becoz they dont offer complete online courses..they allow only one onine class per semester..and stratford dont offer first day CPT.
