CBN to undertake ‘Padayatra’ against corruption

Hyderabad, Jan 29: The Telugu Desam party chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, has said that he would be undertaking Padayatra to protest against the reeking corruption in the country on Sunday from Golconda Military Hospital to Bapughat. He said that both the Central and State governments have become engrossed in corruption, giving a go bye to people’s welfare. He said that time had now come for the Opposition parties to make a unified fight against the corrupt governments.

Referring to the reported statement of the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy that he helped Mr Jagan to escape from murder charges, Mr Naidu said that there was need for the government to explain why investigation into the murder of his party MLA Paritala Ravindra was stopped. He also demanded that the government reopen the murder case. The former chief minister said that his party was considering how the case could be reopened.

Mr Naidu has demanded that the Lok Pal Bill be adopted in the Budget session of Parliament.
