katharnak Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Hyderabad, Jan 29: The City Police Commissioner, Mr A K Khan, has said that on the basis of credible information, the city police have arrested Manmohan Singh Bhadauria, Sulam Subbaiah, Boya Venkata Hari Babu and Avula Venkata Ramana, in connection with the murder of Anantapur factionist Maddelachervu Suri. Property disputes, acquisition of lands under benami name of the prime accused Bhanu Kiran and other personal differences were the motives behind the murder going by the revelations of the accused.Addressing a crowded media conference on the progress made so far in the investigation in connection with the murder of Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy alias Maddelacheruvu Suri here on Saturday, Mr Khan said that the investigation conducted so far has revealed that the accused Subbaiah of Kurnool district had prior knowledge of the murder of Suri. Subbaiah brought a two-wheeler to the spot where the murder took place. After shooting Suri, Bhanu got down the car and sped with “Subbu” to the city outskirts. He also said that after the commission of the offence, the accused went to Sholapur, Pune, Gwaliar, Gurgaon and Itawa and stayed at each place for a few days to avoid police detection.The CP said that Manmohan Singh was sent to Hyderabad to get money from Bhanu followers as they were running short of money. He said that one 9mm pistol, seven live rounds, an extra magazine, five cell phones, one ATM card, five debit/credit cards, two Pulsor bikes and another two wheeler, a driving licence, a voter ID card and cash of Rs 25,000 were seized from the accused. He said that a massive search by six police teams was on to nab Bhanu Kiran.The CP said that the deceased, after his release from jail one year back, stayed in Alekhya Apartment and Vasanth Apartment in Cyberabad. He, along with Bhanu Kiran used to call people to the apartments to settle property disputes and conducted illegal money transactions. It was also revealed that Bhanu Kiran and his associates had acquired about 100 prime properties under the limits of Cyberabad and Ranga Reddy districts. He also noted that in the meanwhile, two cases were registered against Bhanu Kiran one at Begumpet Police Station and another at the Banjara Hills Police Station and in both instances, they were found to have possessed weapons in violation of Fire Arms licensing norms.“To mount extra surveillance on the activities of factionalists and other anti-social elements, the City police sought information of such elements from all the districts and cities in the State”, Mr A K Khan said.Pointing out to the cases of anti-social elements employing personnel armed with weapons from private security agencies for their security, the CP said that the Private Security Agencies (Regulations) Act and Rules has come into being and under which the private security agencies were asked to furnish information regarding the details of security guards employed by them, their gun licenses, whether license issued for self-defence or for protection of others, the authenticity of the identity of security guards and verification of antecedents of security guards employed by them.[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lU-0H1Z9tZo&feature=player_embedded#]AndhraHeadline-Don "Bhanu" gang arrested[/url]
