calling all.. oracle /toad connection doubt...

I have the toad installed on windows 7..
and i have the linux database with oracle 11g.
and i want yo connect toad on windows to linux database by using listener file..
How can i connect ..?
can u plz explain th way how i can connect??

toad wrk avvali ante, oracle client kuda undali...........so first oracle client install chesaka, $ORACLE_HOME\network\admin folder lo aa linux oracle tnsnames.ora(this will be in this folder $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin) file copy , paste chey.............toad open chey, username , password and SID or service name enter chey...................thts it you are now successfully connected to DB......

Linux idea ledu mama....Toad nunchi connect kavalante..........Toad opening window lo Connection name, user name, password, url, database  type cheste saripotundi......if connection success u will be connected to database..............

toad open chesaka username and password(sysdba) enter chesanu..
DIRECT TAB ki kinfa linux host ip address and port no enter chesanu.
connest using oracle 11g ani select chesanu..
oracle service name and sid
enter chesanu..
