The anti-Jagan campaign appears to be taking a caste colour gradually. On Saturday, three Dalit Congress MPs have spoken against Jagan’s candidature for chief minister post.

While Harsh Kumar has come out openly against Jagan, two other MPs – Nagarkurnool MP Manda Jagannatham and Malkajgiri MP Survey Satyanarayana – have made subtle comments against Jagan, saying he is too ambitious to become the chief minister. Jagannatham, who met Chief Minister K Rosaiah and Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas to greet them on Diwali day, said there was no controversy over the CM post, as Rosaiah was doing a great job. “The Congress is a big party and everybody has a freedom to ask whatever they want. But the high command takes a decision what it feels the best for the state and the party,” he said.

Survey Satyanarayana said though Jaganmohan Reddy has the capabilities to become the chief minister, there was no vacancy for the CM post right now. “Let him gain the experience by working for the party. He would have better chances in future,” he said.
