thankyou thankyou .. ur working only on SSIS ?

stored procedure performance tuning chesara?
naku telisinavi ivi correct o kadho chepandi if u have idea....

we need to check whether the query contains any subqueries ..if so we need to minimize those subqueries and try to get the result using joins that too avoid using outerjoins.

next we need to use NOCOUNT ON and update statics on

we need to delete un necessary Indexes and need to create indexes on frequently used columns in where condition.

when ever modifications done on table need to update statistics...

ivi kakunda inkemaina use chesthara stored procedure tuning ki?

[/quote]may be you know this, but performance tuning chese mundhu Execution plan chusthamu procedure di, then will decide which table/join has issues... primarily joins lo issues untai... ledhante on indexing...

outer joins are costly... but necessary if the requirement demands....  inner joins mundu use cheyadam better so that result wil reduce for next outer joins.... and also specific condition unte better to use in inner join itself...

for ex: select a.col1, b.col2, c.col3
from a left outer join b
            on        a.col1 = b.col1
          inner join c
            on a.col1 = c.col2
        where a.col1 = 21

better way, use inner join first and condition within join

  select a.col1, b.col2, c.col3
          from a inner join c
            on        a.col1 = c.col2 and
a.col1 = 21    ( rows chala filter aipothai in this join itself)
          left outer join b
            on a.col1 = b.col1

ordering of joins and not deviating the requirement also plays a role in performance.

PS: if u think my explanation is over, pls excuse me... i am  sorry2 sorry2 sorry2
