Thanks to your efforts, ICE has released a set of guidelines for the students ([url=http://www.ice.gov/sevis/tri-valley-110118.htm]http://www.ice.gov/sevis/tri-valley-110118.htm[/url]). Every student that calls at the helpline is being given these three options:1. Depart from the US2. Reinstatement3. Voluntary DepartureEach of these options has its own risks involved and none of them guarantees that the student's record will be cleared. As a result, even if the student decides to the leave the US, they is no guarantee that the student will be allowed to enter the US in the future (on a valid visa). I kindly request you to help the students by continuing to put pressure on the US agencies/government. A large majority of the students stuck in this did not have any inkling that the university was violating immigration norms. All these students are the victims of this fraud - they are not the perpetrators and should not be punished. Please let me know if you have a few minutes to discuss about this. A copy of a letter here, that was given to a former CMG Computer School student in Philadelphia.Check this letter to a CMG StudentIn contrast, when it came to the more than 1500 Indian students enrolled at Tri-Valley, ICE instantly terminated the SEVIS records of ALL students on January 18, the harshest of all options allowable under the regs (8 CFR 214.4(i)). And the most recent letter to DSO’s (international student administrators) was more a threat than an opportunity.
