BJP document on black money Bring the black money back, expose the culprits

"ALL-round corruption and recovery of black money from foreign countries is one of the biggest concerns of the countrymen today and therefore it is the important agenda of the BJP," said BJP national president Shri Nitin Gadkari while releasing a research report on the issue of black money. The function was organised by Economic Cell of BJP in New Delhi on February 2.

The report, ‘Ways and means to recover Indian money stashed away in foreign countries’ is a 50-page document containing the state of existing anti-corruption mechanism in the country, bringing out the shortcomings and the ineffectiveness of various legislations, institutions and the failure of the government to tackle the menace. Further, it analyses the successful international efforts to stop Tax Haven misuse and recovery of illegal money, and to burst the myth that the money is not recoverable, which the government of India wants to project today. One logo was also released showcasing Indian golden sparrow imprisonment in the cage of corruption.

Shri Gadkari said the corruption could be rooted out only by a mass movement. He reiterated that the government is involved neck deep into corruption and has no will to move against it. "The BJP has resolved to root out corruption and therefore urges the government to open the names of the culprits and punish them all," Shri Gadkari said.

Prof. R Vaidyanathan said the amount is large enough to sustain economic development of the country and the recovery is very much possible.

Convener of the Cell Shri Gopal Agarwal said the authorities create a stake of the elite in the establishment and therefore it is through mass movement only that we can fight corruption. "India is rising today. This money belongs to the people and we will bring it back," he said.

The function was well attended creating lot of interest on the subject. Many NGO’s including Human Rights Defence India, Chetna, Transparency International, Vivekananda International, Depository Participants Association of India, Association of National Exchange, Members of India, Sankalp, Bharatiya Vitta Salahkar Samiti, Art of Living, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India also participated in the function. Many senior BJP leaders including Shri Ravishankar Prasad, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Shri Mahendra Pandey, Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, Shri Rajeev Pratap Rudy, Shri Ravi Wig, Shri Sudhir Agarwal, Shri Rajesh Sharma, Shri Ashwini Kumar, Dr Arvind Gupta and many professionals like lawyers, chartered accountants, lecturers and activist also attended the function.
