rajesh550 Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Explain your situation to HR in your company. If they are ok with for running payroll latter that would be a good option. If you are worried of loosing job.. talk to them and tell that you will work for free until you get EAD. ( not sure whether legal ) mana frnds emantaroo chudham..
JaiHind Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 show your employer reciet and tell it is in the process or simple ask them extend the starting date by explaining your situation.

KiipCool Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Dude, I strongly think you can start working. You should not work only if you know application is rejected. If your application is under process, you can definitely work.

KiipCool Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 If your OPT is expired before you receive an approval/rejection on ur currently active application, OPT period automatically extends until you hear something about the approval/rejection. You may check with your international officer to verify about this.

appalraju Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 You may not begin employment before you receive your EAD and the start date on the card has been reached. Working before receipt of your EAD constitutes illegal employment that renders you illegally present in the United States.. Even if you want work....I dont think your employer will allow since you said its a full time job and if he is not a DESI
