A humanoid alien sent to Earth to warn earthlings about the perils of violence and nuclear weaponry, Gort is the guardian of a flying saucer and its pilot. His message, as true today as it was then, is perhaps what inspired Hollywood to remake the film.

The producers of the remake have kept the details of the iconic robot's new incarnation clothed in secrecy. Hopefully the new Gort will be bigger, badder and less robotic than Keanu Reeves.
