Plenty of dirty linen is being washed about the elopement of Srija ( Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi's daughter) with a software professional Sirish Bharadwaj on October 17. Srija aged 22 had been in love with Sirish for four years. She has been given police protection through a Delhi High Court order, though her father and uncle (actor Pawan Kalyan) have publicly asked the couple to come home to Hyderabad. Nakeeran magazine has reported that Chiranjeevi's elder daughter Sushmita had also eloped with a boy, until she was brought back and forcibly engaged to Telugu actor Uday Kiran. However the latter broke the engagement after coming to know about her boyfriend. Finally Chiranjeevi got her married to a non-filmi family in Bangalore. Meanwhile he destroyed Uday Kiran's career in the Telugu film industry. Sirish's character is also under the scanner. Though he comes from an orthodox Brahmin family from Kumbakonam, and his father is a priest at Kalahasthi temple in Karnataka, his character is blemished. Jailed thrice for elopement, violence and ragging during his student days, Sirish has earned Chiranjeevi's ire for being a fortune hunter. Meanwhile Pawan Kalyan's estranged wife Nandini has told the Rani magazine that he was having a second wife and child without her consent. The couple have applied for divorce, while Nandini's father claims to have financed many of Pawan's films. Nandini blames Chiranjeevi for encouraging his brother's affairs. Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja is poised to debut in a Telugu film in the middle of this family drama. The superstar might have to act swiftly to salvage reputation and career and satisfy public and his film producers. Latest news revealed that Srija is coming back to Hyderabad but will stay with her husband's parents.
