IAF's micro-light aircraft leaves Belgaum students thrilled

BELGAUM: Composite Technology Short Wing (CTSW), a micro-light aircraft of Indian Air Force (IAF) arrived at Belgaum Air Force Training Institute in Sambra on Saturday and left the students thrilled.

It was a part of X-India expedition, organized by the directorate of adventure in IAF. CTSW took off from Udhampur on February 11 and will fly to Thiruvananthapuram via Belgaum.

Another aircraft, a Powered Hand Glider (PHG) is flying from Suratgarh in the West to Barrackpore in the East.

This expedition is aimed at exposing the youths of the country to a firsthand experience of flying and related adventurous activities.

Akhilesh Chauhan, a helicopter pilot and expert in flying CTSW, interacted with students in Belgaum. A few students and local dignitaries were given rides in the CTSW.
